Patrick and I were at the Bombay Stock Exchange today. As part of the Computer Society of India, our college is required to be involved in a particular project (as part of the Mumbai Chapter events). Our college has been assigned the task of building a virtual stock-trading system, and for this we are required to use the BSE sensex's live stock quotes. We spoke to a couple of tech guys there; they will be able to provide us with XML as well as CSV feeds. We will be using SOAP for getting the feeds. Suggestions with regard to the choice of programming language to use are welcome.
