ljgreet.pl
I wrote this simple script that I call ljgreet.pl. The script requires a LiveJournal user to enter his username and password. The script finds the usernames and names of all LJ Friends of that user whose birthday falls on that particular day; the script then posts a comment, Happy Birthday, $friendName, to each birthday-boy/girl's latest journal entry.
I have been practically online all the time (since around 12:00 AM) testing the script, and it works fine. Unfortunately, I do not have the HTTP::Lite module on my server, so I am unable to host it. Anyway, screenshots of the script in action (that's all I can do):

I changed my system clock time to test the script (in case you are wondering). This is what the script did.
