Something is terribly wrong: I am not able to access any of LiveJournal's pages; the only journals I am able to access are those of paid members (thanks to the sub-domain that they have). I might not be able to post/reply to comments; sorry about that. I am accessing my Friends list through Proxify (thanks aivalli!).

Anyway, yesterday the weather was good, and software engineering is not something I need to study. Perfect. So I wrote a simple Perl filter that makes my life a bit easier.

I normally download my lyrics from LyricsDomain. To make things easier, I wrote lyricsdl.pl.

Usage:

perl lyricsdl.pl --artist=<artist name> [--song=<song title>]

In case you are wondering, this was posted through LJ Post.

I'm still not able to access LiveJournal. Anyway, I wrote a tiny Perl script that lets me comment on journals. So comments are being posted from there. It's a pain.

Update: LJ's back in action! Don't ask me what the problem was, because I don't know. It's such a relief now. Life without LJ sucks. I'll be able to sleep today.
