Foo
This trip to Bangalore has been so fuckin’ awesome that I actually miss a lot of folks. I feel like taking the next flight to Bangalore, but I can’t.
Now, about my talk. I guess it went well: some folks were taking notes and all—a sign that folks were interested; after the talk some people asked implementation-related issues—a sign that some folks were really interested. I wanted to demo something cool; unfortunately, there was no Internet connectivity at IISc.
The good thing was that my talk was followed by a talk on Rails, by Avik Sengupta. Nice.
louiswu (you owe me a lot of booze, by the way!) has insider information, so he needs to give me feedback.
In other stuff, the TPC Index for December is out. Java has consistently been doing badly for some time; it gained a little this time around. Ruby gained a lot. Nice.
The TPCI is not something that people would take very seriously. However, what I like about it is the fact that it kinda reflects what I perceive is happening in reality. I don’t really care for language popularity indices, but you need them—to an extent—when you’re an evangelist.
In yet other stuff, thanks to this, I have a free pass (for two) for the Smirnoff Experience, from 10th to 12th Dec. I need to find a chick.
