So Flickr was built using PHP, eh? No wonder my employer succumbed to the temptation. Oh yeah, flickr-ruby is now listed under the Flickr API kits.

I see no reason why I shouldn’t attend RubyConf, but I see lots of reasons I will not be able to. Sigh.

It’s an API, so you can use it to build your own applications (GUI apps, for example) using Ruby.

Use it under a BSD-compatible license.

Great, thanks! I'm planning on using it on a redesign I'm working on for a church website. Members will be able to enter their Flickr username and we'll pull down people's recent pics for the community to enjoy. I'll try to shoot you an email when we go live. Thanks again!
