Mysore

A bunch of us—Ernie (Sunnyvale), Cecily, Benny (Hong Kong), Pete, Jill (Taiwan), rsk, and myself—went to Mysore today morning. We left at 05:30. Visited some government handicraft store (the folks wanted to take back souvenirs), the Mysore Palace, and Brindavan gardens. We were back in Bangalore at around 21:30. Dinner was at Cosmo.

Ernie has pictures—many of them are taken at Hypnos, where a lot of us Communities folks had dinner one of the days.

Hey...real nice man. Soo beautiful - did you guys have to pay any entry to get into the palace?
friggin hell - not many people realise how much beauty India has culture/history wise. NZ is supp to be one of the 'most beautiful places in the world' but I somehow disagree - Its beautiful, but culture wise its zero, not a single fort or palace (not that I know of).

Just cheked ur photos on flickr. damn nice :) ( i miss home:()

Yeah, we had to pay—20 bucks per person. The palace was nice; it’s apparently bloody awesome in the night (we couldn’t stay for long).

Ah Mysore, my home, My sweet place, the place where I learnt to lipread, talk like normals, did my schooling, did my engineering.

Life would be never the same without Mysore.

there is one called bopy's pub. They arent class like Bangalore, but you got to admit mysores got a charm of its own;)

I went to Mysore in 2002. It's beautiful - especially the palace.
We hadn't taken a camera so took just one polaroid in front of the palace. So seeing all your snaps is really great!

I had been to Mysore many years ago—10 years or so. I liked it then because of the weather. This time, though, it was kinda humid. Ah, but the palace—quite nice.

Ya I also went when I was really little. Not that I remember but I've heard that Brindavan gardens was much better maintained then. This time since we took a tour bus we couldn't even hang on long enough for the water fountain show.
